Thirst: Journey to the Aquifer situates in the Brabant region, is a non-fictional video narrates how low one can stoop in search for solutions to the water shortage and go as far as extracting their own groundwater.
All the tools designed for water extraction become vessels for our research on the agents involved in freshwater distribution, and its diverse physical production—soils, rhythms, infrastructures, and landscapes. They critically address the “off-the-grid” community and, together with the film, they create an installation where visitors are invited to reflect and position themselves towards the upcoming water crisis and THIRST.

The project Thirst is a non-commercial collaboration between the International Architecture Biennial Rotterdam and knowledge partner Waterschap De Dommel, which took place from March to June 2023. https://thirst.iabr.nl/projects/journey-to-the-aquifer
