Rijksmuseum (Unfinished) Unfinishedness in artwork leaves behind traces for peeping into the artistic process from an analytical perspective. One starts to question WHY instead of just WHAT. Likewise, can the unfinishedness in a museum opens up an analytical perspective for visitors to be aware of the curatorial process and the museum itself?
Make the unfinishedness visible, make the museum visible. An investigation on the Rijksmuseum’s unfinishedness is carrying out, need not be surprised when you see someone taking pictures of an ‘empty’ wall or an ‘ordinary’ ceiling. Spare some time from the artwork during the visit to walk through a Rijksmuseum that you have never ever experienced.
