DA(ir)E In order to fully perceive our surroundings, we should come to appreciate our sensuous complexity. While air plays a crucial role in illustrating the non-visual cues that people are rarely aware of, the smellscape, the air of DAE, DA(ir)E.
By examining the smell content collected from smellwalks and surveys from a humanistic perspective, the invisible forms a physical document that speaks in its language. A sniffing experience allows our noses to map the smellscape without a visual map. “The smellscape is an emotive environment, not an intellectual one, and as such, should be cherished.” Thus, DA(ir)E invites you to be the witness to the preservation of this slice of our school smellscape and to justify our spectacular olfactory memory.
